Hey everyone!
I’m back again with another blog post. This time it’s about the movie Get Out. I know, I know, I’m very late to jump on this train, but I’m glad I finally had the opportunity to do so.
Let’s get right into it.
IMDb Rating: 7.7/10
Time: 1hr 44min
Genre: Horror, Mystery, and Thriller
Release Date: 24 February 2017
Plot:
It’s time for a young African-American to meet with his white girlfriend’s parents for a weekend in their secluded estate in the woods, but before long, the friendly and polite ambience will give way to a nightmare.
My Thoughts
Firstly I’d like to say that this movie had some incredibly music. There was music that fit the scene perfectly – chilling at times.
I didn’t know exactly what to expect from this movie. It came out last year and I’m sure I had an idea about the plot when the trailer was constantly on TV, but since it’s been a while, I had forgotten what it was supposed to be about.
This movie had so many terrifying scenes, not because of the jump scares (which they definitely had a couple of), but because of the hidden meaning behind everything and the emotionless facial expressions some of the actors/actresses.
The acting in this movie was incredible. I think that this is one movie in which I found all of the actors/actresses to be incredible and so believable. Their ability to make this movie so chilling and unflinchingly real was a real pleasure for me to watch.
Additionally, this movie had a lot of twists and turns that were definitely very unexpected. I never saw a lot of it coming and was very pleased to notice new things that I didn’t notice previously.
The underlying social issues that were in this movie were also so incredibly important to talk about and bring to light. It was an unconventional way to do so, but I think it was such a brilliant and unique way to do so.
All in all, this movie is one that I wish I had decided to watch sooner, but I’m glad I finally got down to it.
I highly recommend that everyone watch this movie. It will change your life.
That concludes my Get Out review!
I hope you all enjoyed, and thank you all so much for reading.
Until next time,

I get really freaked out with horror and thriller movies, and this one definitely did that, but at the same time is was so psychologically interesting! If you ever feel like watching a thriller I definitely recommend it!

Get Out scared me because of the social issues it talks about. Like I was so terrified the whole time. I loved it though and my bf did too!
