Today I have a post that I’ve been thinking about making for quite a while now. There are always books that I see around that are incredibly hyped and well loved, but I don’t have the urge to read them, despite how much everyone loves them.
So here are the 5 books that I’ll probably never read.
Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell
This is a novel that I’m pretty sure everyone who blogs/makes videos about books has read. It’s a contemporary novel that is apparently amazing, but I really don’t get the hype…
I’m already not someone who will choose a contemporary over a fantasy or sci-fi novel, so I don’t think I’ll ever get the urge to read this novel, especially when I have so many other novels that I want to read.
I do think that this novel is probably good, but it’s premise isn’t one that I think I’d be super compelled to read.
Additionally I’d like to add all other Rainbow Rowell books to this – I probably will never pick them up.
We Were Liars by E. Lockhart
This novel is one that I have heard about so much. The plot summary is so brief and doesn’t really make me feel compelled to read the novel. I know this novel is a thriller and the plot isn’t supposed to tell you much anyways, but despite that, I think it could have been something a bit more interesting to grab my attention, but that might just be me.
I also don’t really see the point of reading this suspense novel when there are loads out in the world I’d rather read.
Sorry for all the We Were Liars lover’s out there, but this one isn’t one I’d consider reading.
I’ve read The Fault in Our Stars and Turtles All the Way Down and I left both feeling like I just read another “meh” novel. I understand that all of his novels cover very important topics and they’re important reads, but I really don’t like his writing. It’s so boring and overly intelligent. Especially when writing teenagers, I feel as though the way they’re speaking is so incredibly unrealistic.
I think John Green is a great human being, but his writing isn’t for me.
Ready Player One by Ernest Cline
This is one raved about novel, and with the new movie coming out I can definitely feel the pressure to pick this novel up, but with some excerpts I’ve read from this novel and some of the information that I’ve heard about it I definitely don’t want to read this novel.
If you’d like to know what I’m talking about click here.
It just seems like an overly bad book that luckily got a movie deal for what seems like is going to be an overly bad movie.
Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher
This one seems pretty self explanatory at this point. Firstly with this novel being incredibly triggering and (in my opinion) glorifying suicide and secondly with Jay Asher being a disgusting sexual predator.
This novel is one that I never really paid much mind to, but knowing what I know now, I’ll never read this novel.
Alright guys, that concludes my post about the Top 5 Books I’ll Probably Never Read.
